Hello!
My name is Adriana Batres. I am a first generation ASU alumni, with a bachelor's degree in Technical Communications and a concentration in Social Media Management. For the past 4 years I have garnered skills in design, technical writing, copyediting, digital marketing, and content creation.
When I'm not focusing on my work, I like to draw, take photos with my film cameras, or thrift.
My Story
I have always considered myself a creative individual. I knew that one day I wanted to have a job that would allow me to not only express my creativity, but also to influence and inform people in one way or another. When first starting my journey at ASU, I decided that I wanted to become a graphic designer. While my graphic design courses were helpful, I felt like the right major for me was something else. Unsure of what to major in next, I stumbled upon Technical Communications. I have always had a passion for writing, and seeing there was a concentration for social media management, it just felt perfect. Through my ASU courses, I have discovered I really enjoy comprehensive editing as well.
With my wide range of writing and content styles, I am also someone who frequently keeps up with the latest trends. Whether it's pop culture, fashion, or beauty, you can always depend on me to know it. One of my favorite quotes is, "Like a palm tree, bend, don't break". I relate it to someone who does not allow change to stop them. With all that being said, I am always striving to learning and growing more.
