Localization Essay

I did research on localization in technical communication, and how it triggers social justice issues. The entire course was about global issues in technical communication. As with any essay, I had to gather up sources that relate to the topic and narrow them down.

 

By doing research into the problems that come with not localizing technical documents, it helped me to develop a further understanding of how important that is. One example written is how certain COVID-19 protocols, such as washing your hands, were not feasible for those who did not have enough access to water. By localizing these sorts of documents, it allows for the intended audience to understand better. This stops from any problems arising.
